alif. -- Supported by a lunchtime treat offer, Fox Home Entertainment and DIC Entertainment will launch two new Strawberry Shortcake titles in stores on Aug. 31. Kids in selected schools will receive a mail-in certificate for "Strawberry Shortcake: Adventures on Ice Cream Island" and free gifts through Sept. 15. A second title, "Strawberry Shortcake: Best Pets Yet," streets the same day. The suggested retail price for the titles, in their strawberry-scented pink packaging, is $14.98 on DVD and $12.98 on VHS.

DAYTON, Ohio -- Teens heading back to school can do so with star style by registering for a chance to win the Five Star Teen People VIP Rock Star Trip. From June 2 through Sept. 15, students age 13 and over can log onto the Five Star Web site to answer questions about such topics as locker decor to stage fright for a chance to win a trip for five to the Teen People Artist of the Year Party in Los Angeles on Nov. 14. The promotion is tied to the Five Star Advance organizational system from MeadWestvaco, Stamford, Conn. The package includes the cost of the trip, spending money, a collection of CDs from the Artist of the Year, a Mead Five Star notebook, and publicity about their experience in Teen People.
