TRENDY TOOTHIES

In an effort to fuse fashion, playtime and sparkling white smiles, Colgate-Palmolive will introduce a new line of powered toothbrushes featuring the highly popular Bratz fashion dolls. The new Colgate Bratz Powered Toothbrushes feature three of the Bratz characters -- Chloe, Dana and Yasmin -- as three-dimensional brush handles. Bratz are dolls that come outfitted in cutting-edge fashion, and have found strong popularity among 7- to 13-year-old girls. The company will begin shipping the new line this month, with a suggested retail price of $6.99. The Bratz dolls are set to star in a direct-to-video movie release early this year, and licenses for the franchise will be expanded into consumer electronics, sporting goods and stationery products, in addition to oral care.

REALITY EDUCATION

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- As part of a worldwide tribute to Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List," Universal Studios Home Video, in conjunction with the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, Los Angeles, is launching a reality-based education program, "Giving Voice," timed to coincide with the release of "Schindler's List" on DVD. The DVD contains bonus features, including powerful footage of testimonies from some of the survivors whom Schindler saved. "Giving Voice" is geared toward promoting tolerance among high-school students by showing them actual footage of the people who endured the Holocaust. The DVD, an additional Collector's Gift Set, and "Giving Voice" will be available in early March. The suggested retail price for the DVD is $26.98, and $79.98 for the Gift Set. "Giving Voice" will be available through Films for the Humanities and Sciences, Princeton, N.J., at www.films.com.
