-- Duncan Hines and Chicago Metallic have cooked up a new line of licensed bakeware for cakes, pies, cookies, pizzas, muffins and loaves. To support the pans, Duncan Hines Bakeware line packaging will replicate images from Duncan Hines cake mix boxes, thus creating brand recognition and stimulating the appetites of customers in an attempt to encourage impulse purchases. The 26 new products are now available, priced from $4 to $14.
HOLIDAY FOR SAMANTHA
BURBANK, Calif. -- "Samantha: An American Girl Holiday" from Warner Home Video takes viewers on a holiday voyage back to the turn of the 20th century. Based on the best-selling character from the American Girl book series and 18-inch doll collection, the title will be available in stores on DVD and VHS Nov. 30, shortly after the Nov. 23 broadcast premiere on the WB network. Pre-order date is Nov. 2. American Girl is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel. The collection is based on nine-year-old fictional heroines who are growing up during important times in America's past. To date, American Girl has sold more than 100 million books and 10 million dolls. The DVD will be available along with a heart-shaped locket necklace, just like the one in the movie, for $19.99.
