Super Batteries

BETHEL, Conn. - Partnering with the upcoming movie, "Superman Returns," Procter & Gamble-owned Duracell has released Superman-themed AA eight-pack batteries that include a free Superman Returns Powerlight. Duracell's new commercial, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures, features Superman focusing on a ringing alarm clock and using his X-ray vision to see the Duracell battery inside. Duracell's tongue-in-cheek moral of the story: "Even a Super Hero has to get up in the morning. Duracell...Trusted Everywhere," shows that even Superman relies on batteries. The commercial marks the 11th installment of the "Trusted Everywhere" ad campaign and began airing June 5 on network and cable channels.

The Asian-lantern-inspired design comes in many colors with the option of purchasing DazzleLite, an eight-mode small light that adds a soft glow to the product. The light can be set to create solid or changing color patterns. DazzleWrap is reusable, comes in four sizes and has a retail price from $2.49 to $6.99. DazzleWrap is marketing their product through an extensive print and television public relations campaign, specifically targeting women's magazines and television shows.
