LAKELAND, Fla. -- Publix Super Markets here said last week that it has appointed Danny Risener senior vice president and chief information officer. Risener, who has worked at Publix for 37 years, is responsible for leading the retailer's information-technology initiatives. He continues to manage the retailer's information-systems department. He spent the previous14 years as vice president of information systems for Publix.
