LOS ANGELES -- Ralphs Supermarkets here tapped Meals.com, Bellevue, Wash., to be the exclusive provider of on-line recipes and meal-planning services for www.ralphs.com. Ralphs is the third division of the Kroger Co. to use the Meals.com service, which gives consumers access to more than 10,000 recipes sorted by cuisine, special diet and cooking method.

"We are working to add the remainder of the Kroger family of Web sites to the Meals.com network," said Peter Barbaresi, executive vice president of sales for Meals.com, in a prepared release.

Meals.com said its network of private-label Web sites includes agreements or letters of intent with supermarkets representing more than 8,100 stores. It is a subsidiary of Coinstar, also based in Bellevue.
