COMPTON, Calif. -- Ralphs Grocery Co. here has named a new executive to head its conventional store division as part of an organizational restructuring designed to even out reporting procedures. David Green, former president and chief executive officer of Smitty's Super Valu, Phoenix, has joined the company as the Ralphs Supermarkets division president. Green, 41, is responsible for marketing and store operations for the 267-unit conventional store arm -- duties formerly held by Al Marasca, corporate president and chief operating officer. Also, Harold McIntire, 50, who was senior vice president and general manager of Ralphs' Food 4 Less warehouse store division, has been named president of the 76-unit operation. Harley DeLano, 58, president of Cala Supermarkets, Hayward, Calif., the company's 27-unit northern California division, and Joe Burkle, 72, chairman and chief executive officer of Falley's Supermarkets, a 35-store operation based in Topeka, Kan., retain those titles and their current capacities.
