In addition to its sponsorship of the event, Red Baron offers trade advertising, POP displays, in-store events with NFL alumni, and packaging identification on the Family 12-inch Pizzas and Deep Dish Singles. "Taste of the NFL" pairs one top chef and restaurant from each of the NFL cities with a former NFL player. The chefs, assisted by alumni players, prepare and serve gourmet dishes and fine wines.

Tony's Working It Out For Children's Fund

MARSHALL, Minn. -- Tony's Pizza Service here has raised $75,000 for Stand for Children, an affiliate of the Children's Defense Fund, Washington. The money was raised through a series of events dubbed Jump for Children Day in cities throughout the United States.

The campaign concluded with a ceremony featuring a check presentation to Jonah Edelman, executive director of the charity, during the tour's last stop at an Albertson's unit in Seattle. Paul Kraft, Tony's national brand manager, presented the check.

More than 400 "Tony's Time" booklets for younger children, on resolving conflicts around issues like doing chores or interrupting telephone conversations, were distributed to consumers during the tour.

Freschetta Donates 1,761 Cases of Pizza

MARSHALL, Minn. -- Freschetta Frozen Pizza here recently donated 1,761 cases of its frozen pizzas to the Food Bank of North Carolina in Raleigh.

The donations, which were given out due to extensive hurricane and flood damage to the area's residents, included varieties of Freschetta's 12-inch, Sauce Stuffed Crust and 8-inch pizzas.

Approximately 21,000 pizzas in all were distributed, and some were used for on-site feeding programs for families that were forced out of their homes.

Frozen Specialties Adds Two Positions

ARCHBOLD, OHIO -- Frozen Specialties here has created two new positions in its Chicago sales office. Robert Dagostino is the new director of private-label sales, and John Schlosser is a regional sales manager.

Dagostino was vice president of category management for Shurefine International, North Lake, Ill. Schlosser was director of business development for Daymon Associates, Melrose Park, Ill.

Frozen Specialties makes both branded and private-label frozen pizza sold in supermarkets.
