HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Super Rite Corp. here said sales and earnings increased in the second quarter and first half ended Sept. 2. 9% to $374.5 million for the 13 weeks and 8.1% to $748 million for 26 weeks. Same-store sales were up 3% in both the quarter and the half. Super Rite attributed its strong earnings to an improved performance at both the retail and wholesale levels and a reduction in interest expenses.
