MILWAUKEE -- Roundy's here said it is reorganizing the merchandising function for its three Wisconsin divisions -- a process that will involve consolidating buyers from its grocery facilities here and in Stevens Point and a general merchandise facility in Mazomanie into its corporate office here.

bakery, meat and seafood. In addition to running trade ads, the company has contacted Western Michigan University seeking college graduates and undergraduates to fill those positions.

Roundy's operates 118 corporate stores under the Pick N' Save, Copps and Rainbow banners.

There were also reports last week that a lawsuit filed in Waukesha, Wis., could delay or halt completely Roundy's plans to build a new 1.1-billion-square-foot distribution center in Oconomowoc, Wis., in June 2005. The suit was reportedly filed against Pabst Farms, a development on which Roundy's hopes to build, by property owners and neighbors in the surrounding area who are opposed to the conditional permit that would allow warehouse construction to move forward.
