ROSWELL, Ga. -- Harry's Farmers Market here reported flat sales and a $1.1 million loss for its fiscal second quarter ending Aug. 2.
p 0.3%, the company said. Harry's reported a loss of $1.1 million for the quarter or 18 cents a share, compared to a loss of $194,000 and 3 cents a share in the 1999 second quarter.
For the first half of fiscal 2001, Harry's reported a loss of $2.3 million on sales of $70 million.
Harry Blazer, chief executive officer and president of Harry's, said the company would engage in a "significant management overhaul" in an attempt to improve performance.
Harry's Farmers Market operates three Harry's concept megastores specializing in fresh and prepared foods and gourmet items, and five Harry's In A Hurry convenience stores in the Atlanta area.
