BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- BAMA Foods here has reached an agreement in principle for the sale of Laura Scudder's Natural Peanut Butter to J.M. Smucker Co., Orrville, Ohio.
g of the transaction is expected to take place Dec. 9. No sale price was disclosed.
BAMA Foods is a wholly owned subsidiary of Welch's, Concord, Mass. Welch's purchased BAMA Foods from Borden in July.
