SN LAUNCHES SECOND TECH AWARDS PROGRAM

NEW YORK — SN has launched its second annual Technology Excellence Awards program recognizing food-distribution companies that have demonstrated excellence and leadership in the use of technology in running their business. Nominations can be submitted on SN's Web site, www.supermarketnews.com. Awards will be given in five categories: chain, wholesaler, independent, international and online sales. Awards will be announced on Feb. 29, 2004, in San Francisco to coincide with Food Marketing Institute's Marketechnics show.
