STORES AID 'VIRGINIA'S FINEST' PUSH

RICHMOND, Va. -- The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services here created a billboard campaign in cooperation with major state retailers to advertise its "Virginia's Finest" program. Retailers involved in the program this summer included the Shenandoah Valley stores of Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. and the Richmond, Va., division of Winn-Dixie Stores, Jacksonville, Fla. Billboards appeared in Richmond, Lynchburg and Roanoke. The campaign is promoting the agriculture department's five-year-old "Virginia's Finest" program, which recognizes high-quality agricultural products offered in the state.
