MINNEAPOLIS -- A letter to former Wetterau-Supervalu employees demanding they return their severance pay is a "cruel hoax," according to a spokeswoman for Supervalu here. A handful of former employees who worked at Supervalu's Bloomington, Ind., distribution facility received the letter in late October, said Supervalu spokeswoman Rita Simmer.
