In SN's Aug. 6 issue, two separate news articles identified both Supervalu and Fleming as the nation's largest wholesaler. Fleming is the nation's largest if wholesale-only sales volume is counted. Supervalu is largest as measured by aggregate sales volume. Supervalu, then, by all accepted measures, is the larger of the two.
