ATLANTA -- Retailers and their suppliers are never late for what's become the kick-off event of the Annual Meat Conference. The popular Tasting Reception inaugurated this year's two-day program, March 9-11. On the agenda at the conference were such topics as the Hispanic marketplace, current government regulations and a peek at tomorrow's value-added and prepared products. But it was today's products that reception attendees had the opportunity to taste -- everything from all-natural ancho chicken cutlets to ready-to-heat-and-serve microwaveable bratwurst.
