COLOGNE, Germany -- One of the biggest changes in the works for Anuga involves the establishment of a separate trade show for all technical areas of food production. The new show, called Anuga FoodTec, will begin in 1996, running from Nov. 5 to 9 at the KolnMesse fairgrounds here.

Organizers of Anuga said the separation of the technical areas will position Anuga to meet the demand for extended hall space "both from previous exhibitors as well as to satisfy the participation requirements of new exhibitors."
Frank Hartmann, marketing director of Anuga, said the creation of a separate technology show will allow Anuga to add about 260,000 square meters to the exhibit area for consumer products. Construction of a new exhibition hall at the fairgrounds will allow Anuga to add about 15,000 square meters of new exhibition space for the 1997 show, Hartmann said.
