McLEAN, Va. -- The number of registrants -- exhibitors, manufacturers, brokers and buyers -- for this June's All Candy Expo in Chicago tops 4,000, according to the National Confectioners Association here. Additional registrants are expected before the preregistration cutoff date, May 12. By late last month, more than 1,000 buyers from all classes of trade had registered.
The show begins June 9 with tours of several Chicago-area candy manufacturing plants.
Educational programs are scheduled for June 10 and June 11. They include: "Marketing Strategies to Build Confectionery Growth," and "Effective Category Management of the Confectionery Category."
Part 2 of the All Candy Expo focuses on the industry's international equipment, ingredient and supply aspects.
