A fifth employee was wounded -- Zachary Emenegger, a 21-year-old night-crew clerk with four years' experience working for Albertson's.

According to Albertson's, United Way of Southern Nevada contributed the first $1,000; that donation was matched by Nevada State Bank, where the fund has been established, the company said.

According to local reports, a suspect identified by police as a 23-year-old former Marine entered the store armed with a pump-action shotgun and wearing camouflage and opened fire, killing the four employees and wounding the fifth.
