CHICAGO -- Supermarket produce managers and buyers, fruit and vegetable suppliers, brokers and other industry players converged last week at the United Produce Show at FMI. Visitors nibbled their way through the show floor, sampling new products that included many conveniently packaged, ready-to-eat items aimed at busy consumers. The show was bigger this year, with 50 new exhibitors on the floor.
