LUBBOCK, Texas -- United Supermarkets here has signed a three-year agreement with Bergen Brunswig Drug Co., Orange, Calif., for Bergen to be the chain's exclusive supplier of pharmaceuticals and other pharmacy products, the companies announced earlier this month.

United uses disease-state-management software from PDX, Dallas, that was created by the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and Bergen. As reported in SN last month, United pharmacies have also begun offering cholesterol screenings to customers.
