Associated Food Stores, Salt Lake City, received the first "Utah's Own" award at the third annual Utah's Own Business to Business conference in Sandy, Utah. Utah's Own is a program sponsored by the Utah Food Council that seeks to promote products produced in the state. The award was presented in recognition of the service AFS has rendered to the Utah food and agriculture industry. The cooperative wholesaler has assisted Utah's Own in several ways, including through the donation of materials and by lending its marketing expertise.
