NEW YORK — Wakefern Food Corp. Executive Vice President Joe Sheridan accepts an award on behalf of Wakefern/ShopRite from Food Bank for New York City President and Chief Executive Officer Lucy Cabrera at the 2010 Can Do Awards last month. Wakefern/ShopRite was honored for its long-standing support of Food Bank for NYC, and its ongoing commitment to fighting hunger in the communities where it operates. The event included appearances by chef Mario Batali and actor Stanley Tucci. Other honorees included Emeril Lagasse, Bank of America and St. John's Bread & Life.
