LOS ANGELES -- Warner Home Video, Burbank, Calif., will sponsor the fourth annual supermarket breakfast during the Video Software Dealers Association convention and National Video Week here, July 8 to 10.

The annual event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center's Petree Hall Friday, July 9, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. It will be co-sponsored by New Line Home Video here and HBO Video, New York, and co-hosted by VSDA, Encino, Calif., and SN.

During the breakfast, retailers will have an opportunity to network and participate in discussions with Warner on the most pressing issues facing supermarket video, said John Quinn, senior vice president for sales at Warner Home Video.

Quinn said Warner is looking forward to a candid exchange of ideas with supermarket video executives.

"The main reason that we want to be involved with this breakfast is because, now more than ever, given the volatility in our businesses in sell-through, DVD and rental, we need to be in a position to exchange viewpoints and perspectives with our customers, especially those in the grocery business," Quinn said.

A final agenda is still being worked out, but topics are expected to include: Getting/maintaining market share in the rental business

Making sense of the buying programs.

Taking advantage of DVD.

Sell-through challenges and opportunities.
