DICKSON CITY, Pa. -- The pharmacy department at the new Wegmans Food Market that opened here Aug. 21 successfully lured new prescription customers with the offer of a free case of Wegmans brand soda -- four six-packs of 12-ounce cans of WPop, regular or diet.
According to a pharmacy advertisement printed in a store flier, customers could "bring in a new or transferred prescription with this ad and receive a coupon good toward one free case of WPop, Wegmans Brand Soda." A source at the store said the promotion "went very well. You wouldn't believe the [number of] people who came in just for that."
