SUNBURY, Pa. -- Weis Markets and its wholly owned subsidiaries here reported that net earnings increased 9.6% to $19.1 million and sales increased 6.7% to $397.5 million for the first quarter ended April 1. Weis said it remodeled and enlarged three stores and held grand reopenings at those locations during the quarter. Seven new stores are under construction and four existing ones are being remodeled.now
