NEW YORK -- Wichita, Kan., Atlanta and Washington are critical emerging Hispanic markets, according to a new report from Scarborough Research here.

entified five key Hispanic consumer segments. They are: "New Lifers," foreign-born and those who have been in the U.S. for about eight years; "Old Ways," foreign-born and have spent about half their lives in the U.S.; "Settled In," mostly U.S.-born Hispanics who have spent the majority of their lives in the U.S.; "The Pioneers," exclusively born in the U.S. and have a mean age of 65 and an annual household income of $50,000; and "Young Americans," three-quarters of whom are U.S. born, have an average age of 26 and an annual income of $60,000.
