WINN-DIXIE TO REALIGNE DIVISIONAL DUTIES

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores here said it will realign responsibilities for its divisions following the retirement of T.E. (Tommy) McDonald at the end of the month. McDonald, who is senior vice president and has been regional director of the company's Charlotte and Raleigh divisions for the last 11 years, joined Winn-Dixie 43 years ago. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores here said it will realign responsibilities for its divisions following the retirement of T.E. (Tommy) McDonald at the end of the month. McDonald, who is senior vice president and has been regional director of the company's Charlotte and Raleigh divisions for the last 11 years, joined Winn-Dixie 43 years ago. Following McDonald's retirement, changes in the alignment of regional responsibilities will include:

> McDonald began working as a part-timer in Newberry, S.C., in 1953. He became a store manager in 1959. In 1967 he was named to the division staff, where he was work methods supervisor and grocery buyer before being assigned to the corporate work methods department in 1970.

He became Charlotte division manager and was elected a corporate vice president in 1985. A year later, he was appointed regional director and elected a senior vice president.
