MADISON, Wis. — The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association here has announced the three finalists who will compete in IDDBA’s 17th annual Cake Decorating Challenge, to be held in conjunction with IDDBA’s 2012 Dairy-Deli-Bake Seminar and Expo June 10-12 in New Orleans.
The finalists are Andria Chinander, Lunds/Byerly’s, Edina, Minn.; Stacie Clawson, Walmart, Perry, Utah; and Amy Murtha, Hy-Vee, Belton, Mo. These top decorators, who will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to New Orleans, will compete against each other on the show floor.
This year, there were 86 entrants from 35 supermarket chains. “The decorators entering this year’s IDDBA Cake Decorating Challenge have demonstrated their skill, and more importantly, their passion for all things cake,” Carol Christison, IDDBA executive director said today.
“Every year, I say it can’t get better and it does. They heard the call and they stepped up to the challenge.”
