MADISON, Wis. — The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association is still receiving entries from store-level cake decorators for its 18th Annual Cake Decorating Challenge but the deadline for entering the first phase (the scrapbook judging) of the 2013 Challenge is almost here. The deadline for submission of scrapbooks is February 14,Valentine’s Day.
It’s easy to get into the competition, IDDBA officials said. Decorators need only send a scrapbook that shows off the best cakes they’ve ever decorated, and an entry form, which can be obtained from IDDBA’s website.
Three finalists will be chosen from entrants. The finalists will compete against each other on the show floor at the association’s 2013 Dairy-Deli-Bake Seminar and Expo, June 2-4, in Orlando, Fla.
The at-show Challenge is a three-day event that has become a popular feature of IDDBA’s annual expo.
