SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Penny Curtiss Baking Co. is laying off 26 seasonal and 28 full-time employees between Aug. 24 and Sept. 8 as it winds down its contract to supply fresh bakery goods to Aldi grocery stores, the company said in a statement yesterday.
