K-VA-T Entices Wine Buyers
Jul 19, 2007 8:00 AM
ABINGDON, Va. — K-VA-T Food Stores is encouraging shoppers to stock up on wine with new wine totes available at its Food City-banner stores in Virginia. Branded with the Food City logo, the cardboard totes accommodate up to six bottles of wine. Shoppers who buy six bottles receive 10% off the wine. The carriers come at a time when K-VA-T is beefing up its wine business with a new wine club that includes an online wine guide. Additionally, the Food City website now lists wine suggestions. Current recommendations include Greg Norman Estate Shiraz 2003 and The Little Penguin Pinot Noir 2005.
