Delhaize’s news of plans to close 33 Sweetbay stores topped Supermarket News’ most viewed content last week. Supervalu signed a deal to sell several of its banners in a transaction valued at $3.3 billion. The agreement is expected to close by the end of the first quarter.

TAMPA, Fla. — Delhaize Group said Thursday that it would close 33 Sweetbay stores here by next month, or about one-third of the chain.
