5. A&P to Close 2 Food Emporium Stores
MONTVALE, N.J. — The previously reported property deal that A&P said would generate $130 million includes two Food Emporium leases to be sold to a private investment firm — and may be the only results of the retailer’s latest attempt to sell off the chain.

The old SuperValu hopefully is gone. Good Luck to the new and I hope they can rekindle what they have kept. Key is local vendor relations and common sense promotional activity. Fight to be the market leader not reactor. Let each banner run its own business, not everything can be run by the Corp. office. Local vendors will fight with you and usually with better product.
