Fairway is home to several award-winning olive oils recognized during the New York International Olive Oil Competition.

Fairway’s private-label Cabeco das Nogueiras oil, as well as the Cobram Estate and  Naturvie World in Love  brands were among the winners of the competition, which judged 651 oils from 25 countries.

Fairway, the International Culinary Center and the Olive Oil Times sponsored the April 8-10 event.

During the event, Fairway’s “master cheesemonger” Steven Jenkins gave a presentation on how Fairway sources its olive oils, and Lori Levy, Fairway’s director of trade and product development, spoke about olive oil importing.

“There were three great days packed with olive oil celebration and elation as olive oil producers, lovers, and experts from all over the world gathered to taste, talk, and delve into the world of olive oil,” Hannah Howard, Fairway’s copywriter,  wrote in the Fairway blog.
