ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Grocery Manufacturers Association will host its annual Merchandising, Sales and Marketing Conference, “Optimizing Performance Through Progressive Partnerships,” Sept. 21-23 here at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club.
Keynote speaker Walker Smith of Yankelovich Partners will focus on how consumers are adjusting to the changing economy during his opening address.
MSM highlights will also include the results of new GMA shopper marketing research, as well as presentations by Safeway's David Haubert and Procter & Gamble's Jim Flannery. The trading partners will outline their joint business planning processes and discuss new GS1 standards for Trading Partner Performance Measurement criteria.
The show will be co-located with the Joint Industry Unsaleables Management Conference, which focuses on operational, financial and organizational issues and practices involved with reducing the incidence of unsaleables.
