JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Winn-Dixie yesterday announced a promotion where shoppers will receive one free gallon of the chain’s private-label whole, low-fat or fat-free milk for every five gallons purchased using their Customer Reward Card. “In these times of economic pressure, this is just one more way for us to save our customers money on a product so vital to the health of their families,” Robin Miller, Winn-Dixie’s director of communications, said in a release. The promotion began yesterday, and will continue through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008. Shoppers who purchase five gallons using their loyalty cards during that time will receive a receipt-based coupon for a free gallon, redeemable through Jan. 15.
