Publix Testing Curbside Service

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Publix Super Markets last week began testing curbside service for deli items at a store here, allowing customers to have subs, salads, fried chicken and other deli products delivered to their cars, Florida’s Lakeland Ledger has reported.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Publix Super Markets last week began testing curbside service for deli items at a store here, allowing customers to have subs, salads, fried chicken and other deli products delivered to their cars, Florida’s Lakeland Ledger has reported. The store has allocated several parking spaces near its deli entrance for the program, and monitors these spaces with video cameras to let staff know when customers are waiting outside. Publix said it is simply testing the concept and has no current plans to expand it.
