Two more ShopRite stores now offering 'Fresh to Table' concept

The concept offers meal solutions in grab-and-go formats

Two ShopRite stores in Maryland are now offering Wakefern Food Corp.’s "Fresh to Table" concept, which focuses on healthy meal solutions.

The stores, in Riverside and Howard Park, are part of Klein’s Family Markets — a nine-store ShopRite company and member of Wakefern.

ShopRite’s Fresh to Table was introduced back in the fall of 2020 and is a store-within-a-store concept with a focus on meal solutions and healthy, on-trend foods in a number of grab-and-go formats, including sections called Prep & Eat, Heat & Eat and Grab & Eat.

Also part of Fresh to Table is the "One Stop Dinner Shop" area, which showcases five-ingredient meals devised by ShopRite chefs and dietitians. Meal offerings change weekly. ShopRite chefs and dietitians also draw from fresh departments across the store — including meat, seafood, produce, bakery and others — to spotlight on-trend and seasonal foods for the Tasty & Trending section, aimed at encouraging shoppers to explore unique and healthy food options. Thsoe items rotate every couple of weeks. The multipurpose Fresh to Table space, too, includes specialty foods from Wakefern’s Bowl & Basket and Wholesome Pantry own brands.

Klein’s Family Markets also offers Fresh to Table in ShopRite stores located in Forest Hill, Aberdeen, Bel Air and Jacksonville, Md.

“The combination of wholesome, seasonal fresh foods and state-of-the-art technology is designed to help our customers find a wide variety of balanced meals in a convenient format,” said Marshall Klein, owner and operator of Klein’s Family Markets.

ShopRite is part of the Wakefern Food Corp., headquartered in Keasbey, N.J.
