Delhaize Group said Monday that Maura Abeln Smith, EVP, general counsel and general secretary, will leave the company effective Nov. 1.
"I am grateful for Maura's service. She came to Delhaize Group at a time of transition in leadership. She was committed, worked diligently, and made significant contributions and we wish her well in her future endeavors," Frans Muller, president and CEO of Delhaize Group, said.
A successor will be named in the near future, the retailer said.
