Knapp Named Chair of N.H. Grocers

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Judy Knapp has been named chairman of the board for the New Hampshire Grocers Association, the group said Wedbesday. Knapp, whose career with Hannaford Bros. spans more than 26 years, succeeds Moe Boucher as chairman.

Knapp is a member of several New England states’ WIC Advisory Committees, the Greater Boston Food Bank and participates in the food industry related government issues in several states. Knapp also participates in the Greater Portland Regional Chamber’s Public Policy/Legislative Affairs Committee. She is a former recipient of the National Grocers Association’s Spirit of America Award; and the regional recognized Women of Influence Award.

“Judy Knapp brings a lot of professionalism to the continuing governance of the association,” NHGA president and chief executive officer John M. Dumais said in a statement. “Her energy and knowledge of government related issues combined with years of experience with food industry trends will be a great asset for NHGA in its continuing effort to bring the highest level of representation to all food store operators and their suppliers.”
