Giant-Landover launches new price program

Ahold's Giant-Landover chain on Friday launched a new chainwide value campaign including a new lower everyday prices on thousands of items and revamped Bonus Buy program calling out temporary price reductions.

New Bonus Buy Savings signs highlight time-limited promotions that offer customers outstanding value, while the new Low Everyday Price signs highlight long-term reductions, Giant said. The company said it was also improving the customer experience at its stores with enhanced fresh, upscale, local and ethnic product lines, as well as new items.

The changes are a part of investment through parent company Ahold USA's ongoing Reshaping Retail strategy, which invests in customer-facing initiatives with dollars saved through productivity initiatives.

“We are pleased to offer our customers reduced prices on thousands of fresh food and grocery items,” Gordon Reid, president of Giant Food, said. “We value our customers and recognize that they have numerous options to choose from when shopping for groceries. That is why at Giant we are committed to providing our customers great quality and great prices so they see their savings stack up.”
