CINCINNATI — As cold-and-flu season approaches, retailers are using coupons and other promotional tools to encourage shoppers to get flu shots.
Among the offers:
• Kroger Co. has an offer on its website for a $15 discount on a flu shot.
• Safeway shoppers who get a flu shot receive a voucher for 10% off their next grocery purchase.

• Harris Teeter offers a $5 voucher for free groceries with the purchase of a flu shot. The offer is valid through the end of the year.
Flu shot prices vary depending on the store and insurance plan, but generally cost about $25 to $30.
