See which Kroger stores are no longer 24/7

Kroger is the region’s dominant grocer.

Kroger is cutting back hours of operation for nine Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky stores that used to be open 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Cutting back hours are stores in Bellevue, Erlanger, Florence, Latonia, Mt. Zion, Union and Walton in Kentucky and North Bechtle Avenue in Springfield and Xenia in Ohio.

Most of the affected stores will trim back to 20 hours a day: opening at 5 a.m. and closing at 1 a.m., except Latonia, which will operate 6 a.m. to midnight.

Kroger is hardly giving up on 24-hour service: nearly one third of the region's nearly 110 stores are open for business 24/7.

The switch is part of an annual review of store operations in the region.

Kroger officials say the decision is based on customer demand. If stores don't do enough business in the wee hours, then it doesn't make sense to keep them open around the clock.
