MODESTO, Calif. — Save Mart Supermarkets here has confirmed the appointment of Stephen Ackerman as chief financial officer. Ackerman had been acting CFO and vice president of finance since May. As CFO, Ackerman oversees accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, central bookkeeping, cash management and financial analysis functions. He reports to Mike Silveira, chief administrative officer. Save Mart operates nearly 250 stores in Northern California and Northern Nevada.
