Acosta Buys Consulting Firm

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —  Acosta Sales & Marketing here said Thursday it has acquired certain assets of Griffin Strategic Advisors, a consulting firm based in Lake Forest, Ill.

Terms of the acquisition were not immediately available.

Acosta said it would combine Griffin with its Acosta Marketing Group to form AMG Strategic Advisors, which will be led by Carrie Shea, co-founder and chief executive officer, Griffin. She will report to Ramin Eivaz, chief marketing officer, Acosta. Griffin will continue to use the Griffin name for non-CPG clients and industries, Acosta said.

"Griffin's capabilities in growth strategy, brand positioning, shopper and marketing insights, and operational consulting nicely dovetails with AMG's rich insight and data analysis capabilities," said Robert Hill, president and CEO, Acosta. "This acquisition will enable us to leverage and expand our consulting capabilities to better serve our clients."

Griffin, which was founded in 2008, provides management and operations consulting in the CPG, retail, apparel/footwear, automotive, private equity and higher education industries.
