Alabama Retailers to Promote State Products

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Supermarkets throughout Alabama will support state-made products during September with special displays and promotions, the Alabama Grocers Association here said Monday.

The Buy Alabama's Best campaign is designed to educate consumers about products that are "made, produced, manufactured and/or headquartered in the state," the association said. A portion of the product sales will go toward Children's Hospital of Alabama for childhood cancer research, the AGA said.

The association is scheduled to hold a press briefing on the event Wednesday in partnership with the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries and the Alabama Food Manufacturers and Producers Association.
