MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P Wednesday confirmed that Ron Marshall has been appointed its new chief executive officer. Marshall, a former chief financial officer at Pathmark and CEO of Nash Finch and Borders Group, will officially take over Feb. 8 as A&P begins its new fiscal year.
Christian Haub, A&P's executive director and interim CEO, said Marshall would be "the key leader in our turnaround," citing a successful track record of turnarounds, food-industry experience and familiarity with the Northeast market.
"I am very much looking forward to working with Christian, the board of directors and the management team to realize A&P's tremendous strategic potential," Marshall said in a statement. "I am confident that, together, we will bring A&P back to its leadership position."
