GERMANTOWN, Md. — Specialty food retailer Balducci's here said Wednesday that it would open its first Gourmet on the Go Café at the Hearst Tower in New York.
The café will serve custom-made salads, artisan sandwiches, and sweet and savory crepes, as well as baked goods and coffee. Balducci's operates specialty grocery stores in Connecticut, New York, Virginia and Maryland.
The Gourmet on the Go Café would mark Balducci's return to New York City after closing its last stores there in 2009.
